Spyke, Kurt and anybody that had decided to volunteer on their behalf for this particular danger session would have been instructed to suit up as usual and report to the sub level. Upon coming to the danger room, they'd find the door open for them to walk right inside the circular chamber.
Up in the control room that hangs far above the center of the danger room, Logan would be standing at the control console, with his arms crossed across his chest, awaiting everyone's arrival. He was dressed in the same jeans, black over shirt and white tee that he had been in when he had found the "volunteers" for the new danger room program.

Shadowcat, in uniform, rushes into the Danger Room with a semi-eaten muffin in hand.
"whef if deh vest of deh team?" She swallows.

Gambit had broken into the institute and was now wondering around the lower levels after failing to find professor X. He found himself in a long hall with a door open at the other end, only one other person in the far room, and decided to take a closer look. He walked over in total silence and stood with his back to the wall, just to the left of the door and listened to what was going on inside.

Kitty dusts crumbs from off her clothes and looks uneasily around the massive walls and up at the control system.
"Erm, Logan?" she twists her lips. "Everyone ditched."
Which might not have been so bad of an idea , She starts realizing.
What could Logan be so eager to work with, if it isn't some shiny motorbike?
She gathers herself for an escape maneuver: "So.. I think maybe I'll go.. sleep. Or something?"

By the sound of the control room, which was the silent whirring of machines and the deathly silence Logan up above, it seemed to Kitty that it wasn't going to be so easy to escape. She did hear a chuckle though, and assumed it was Logan.
"You know," She winced up at the hanging vulturous booth above, trying to make him out from the shadowy panels and glossy reflections.
"I think I left something in my room. How about I go get it? It's my lucky, uhm.. "
She starts to edge toward the door leading to the hallway..
"Socks."

Gambit drew his cards from his jacket problem and pulled out a card. It was a Jack so he charged it with energy and tossed it into the danger room.
"Jacks or better to bet." Gambit said to himself as he tossed the card.

Wolverine's words were tough stuff, but the looming silence from above was sharper than his claws. It was doing a number on Kitty, but she rambled onward her escape excuses and edged closer to the door.
Almost there.. almost there..
Then, in a final explosion of awesome triumph, she skedaddle out of the room, snagging the highly-charged card on her body as it drifted in the air without knowing it.
Yess!!
She hopped into the hall, out of Logan's sight and to her horror, suddenly face-to-face with Gambit.

"Hello there Mon Ami."
Gambit snatched the card off of her stomach and tossed it just before it exploded.
"You should really be more careful. You could have been hurt."
Gambit flashed a smile and started to work with his charm, hopefully Kitty would take him to the professor and he could avoid a fight...then again, a fight would be fun to. Remy decided to just go with it and see what happened.

"Aaghh!!"
Caught by surprise, Kitty leaped into a midair flinch, like a cat struck by lightning. Then the explosion from the card went off down the hall, startling her back into her senses.
Out of impulse, she went for a tackle.
Survive first-ask questions later!!!

Remy sidestepped the girls tackle and held out his hand.
"Wait, you don't get it. I would rather not fight a girl."
He then drew another cards and got ready to charge it just in case Kitty didn't stop.

This guy- hes one of Magneto's! He must've done something to Logan, and Kurt- No wonder it was so empty!!
Kitty's mind tried to put things together as she stumbled to regain balance from her failed tackle.
"He-yah!" She sprung at him with a flurry of wild punches, darting and slicing through the air.

Remy jumped back to avoid Kitty's punches, one of them landing on his shoulder.
"You got some fight in you girl. I kinda like that, but now is not the time Mon Ami."
He threw his card at her feet and ran in the opposite direction, using the smoke from the explosion as cover to get away.

The smoke rose up and around the hallway, filling the scene with a thick black cloud. The explosion had only knocked Kitty off balance, so that she had fallen on her bum.
"Hey!" She shouted between coughs. "come back here!"
But the echoed footsteps were muffled by their distance, and Kitty knew he was gone.
Where's Logan!? She rose, rubbing her sore behind.

Gambit stopped after he was sure Kitty wasn't following him.
"Nice job Gambit. You come to try and join the X-men and instead you get into a fight with one of them. Maybe this little game would be better played in another setting." Remy said to himself.
Remy started working his way out of the mansion and headed for Bayville High School.

Scott walked into the danger room with only one boot on. He set the other one down and put his foot into it then securing it on.
"What a morning. For once i though I'd get to just hang out. I guess being an X-men kind makes it hard to do that." mumbled Scott as he made sure his visor was on properly and tight enough so it wouldn't fly off when he used his powers.

"So, what is this room all about. I saw the girl Kitty down here earlier on and she didn't seem to want to be here. Whats so dangerous about a round room?"

It didn't take long to get dressed in her uniform, she had done it so many times she could do it in a record setting time now. She walked into the room and heard Gambit speaking to Scott, she smirked "Whats so dangerous about a round room?" she heard him say. He was going to be surprised with this 'round room'.
"You'll see" She said as she joined the two, she couldn't wait to see his face when he saw the round room was actually a lot more than a round room after all. It was called the danger room for a reason, you really don't go calling rooms the danger room if it isn't dangerous. |
